A new name for our paraffin thermal water

The winning name has been selected as part of the competition

On World Tourism Day, celebrated on 27 September, we took another important step today in the story of our unique paraffin thermal water. As part of the competition to name it, the committee met, reviewed the submitted proposals and selected the winning name.

The competition, which we launched at the beginning of September, received 80 interesting, original and creative suggestions. We would like to thank everyone sincerely who took part and contributed their ideas to creating a new story around our thermal water. We would also like to thank the Lendava Bilingual Secondary School and the Lendava Bilingual Primary School for their submissions, which were also truly exceptional!

After reviewing all the submitted suggestions, the committee, consisting of:

• Ferenc Hefelle-Kiss, General Director of Terme Lendava,

• László Schuster, Hotel Director,
• Monika Bači Kleiderman, Head of Marketing,
• Éva Lőrincz, renowned journalist and host of the TV programme Mostovi – Hidak, and
• Dr. Ranko Mudrinić

unanimously selected the name:

AQUA-LYNDVA PARAFINA

Gentle, soothing power from the depths of the Earth.

The name combines Aqua, symbolising water, Lyndva, the historical name of Lendava, and Parafina, highlighting one of the most important characteristics of our thermal water – its paraffin content. The name was proposed by our guest, Ms Sára Major, who visited Lendava for the first time with her family and filled in the entry form at our reception during her holiday.

At the same time, we would like to congratulate everyone who submitted names that contributed to the creation of the selected name, as numerous suggestions included the words Parafina, Lyndva and Aqua in various combinations, as well as individually.

Special thanks also go to the members of the committee for their time, cooperation and for selecting the name that will henceforth represent our unique paraffin thermal water.

AQUA-LYNDVA PARAFINA – a name that connects water, Lendava and its unique natural heritage. 💧
